We fixed an edge case where parts of an AI reply could be missed when a response arrived in several parts. Replies now retain that text while continuing to stop promptly when a caller interrupts or the call ends. Short completed confirmations and questions are also retained after a connection problem, helping avoid repeating an answer that has already begun. Replies retained after a connection problem now finish cleanly as streamed replies too. Recovery also recognises common name titles, so an unfinished phrase ending at a title such as “Dr.” is no longer mistaken for a completed sentence. Reply time limits now also hold when delivery stalls, helping timed-out or interrupted turns stop promptly. Cancellation also covers replies that arrive all at once and recovery attempts, so superseded turns stop without waiting for their full time limit. We also prevent an outdated reply from being finished or corrected after a newer caller turn has begun. Interrupted replies also stay cancelled when an interruption coincides with the reply time limit, avoiding recovery of a reply the caller has already moved past. Automatic compatibility retries also share the original reply time limit, including replies that arrive all at once, so a retry cannot extend the total wait for an answer. Replies also stop cleanly when an error arrives partway through, keeping text already delivered available for recovery and preventing extra text after the failure. Errors arriving before any reply text are recognised as failures rather than empty successful replies. This also covers an additional case that previously let a failed answer appear successful.
