Phone profiles now include two experimental calling choices: SIMCOAI Hermes 1 (Mini) and SIMCOAI Athena 1 (Full). Both are designed to listen and speak directly, with a different native voice, while keeping bookings, verification and transfers.
Bookings, verification, callbacks and human transfers continue to follow your business rules. Sensitive actions need their usual checks, and a refund request is not a completed refund. Call and AI allowances apply to actual native calling use.
You can save a preference now. Your current calling mode stays active until your line is approved for the pilot. We are validating response speed and booking accuracy before enabling live use; faster replies are not yet a verified result.

What changed
Hermes 1 Mini and Athena 1 Full introduce an experimental way for the receptionist to listen and speak directly. The Mini and Full options let the pilot evaluate two configurations while keeping the business tasks that a receptionist needs to perform.
The choices use a fixed native voice. They are therefore different from changing the ordinary speaking voice in Call Studio: selecting an experimental calling mode changes the conversation setup rather than simply its sound.
Before and after
Before this update: The ordinary calling setup handled recognition, the assistant’s reply and spoken output as distinct stages. It remains the active route for lines that have not been approved for the pilot.
With this update: A phone profile can store a preference for Hermes Mini or Athena Full. The line switches only after pilot approval; saving the preference alone does not enable experimental live calling.
What it means for you
Review the setup guide before choosing a preference. Bookings, identity checks, callbacks and human transfers still need to respect your business rules, and a refund request remains a request rather than a completed payment.
Response speed and booking accuracy are still being validated. Faster replies are an aim, not a verified result. Actual native calling uses call and AI allowances, so the pilot is not an unlimited free calling mode.
