Switching between Simple view and the full dashboard, or between light and dark, used to snap instantly with no transition. It now cross-fades smoothly. Buttons, toggles and alerts across the dashboard and sign-in page can also play a short, soft confirmation tone — on by default, with a one-click toggle in Display settings (dashboard) or the small speaker icon (sign-in page). Anyone with reduced-motion preferences set on their device automatically gets the instant version with no animation.
