Your Security page now shows the recent activity on your account. Every sign-in, wherever it happened — not only in this browser — with the date and time, the kind of device, the country and the address it came from. Failed attempts and password resets are listed too, so you can tell an ordinary week from one that needs looking at.
There is a Sign out everywhere button beside it. It ends every other signed-in device on your account and leaves you signed in where you are, which is what you want if you have lost a laptop or think somebody else has your password. If your account has been temporarily locked after repeated failed attempts, the page now says so and offers to clear it, instead of leaving you wondering why your password stopped working.
Two-step verification has also been added to the list of protections at the top of the page, so you can see at a glance whether it is on. Nothing about how you sign in has changed, and you do not need to do anything.
What changed
The Security page brings recent account activity together across devices. It includes sign-ins, failed attempts and password resets, with time, device type, country and the address associated with the activity.
This gives you context for a security question such as whether a login matches a trip or a device you use. It also makes a repeated failure or an unfamiliar entry easier to investigate than a view limited to the current browser.
Before and after
Before this update: The Security page did not provide this combined recent-activity view and the accompanying control to end sessions on other devices.
With this update: You can review activity and use Sign out everywhere to end other signed-in devices while keeping the current one signed in. Temporary locks after repeated failures are explained on the page.
What it means for you
Look at the time and device details together before deciding whether an entry is unexpected. If you have lost a device or suspect someone else has access, use the session control and review your sign-in protections.
The activity list is a record to help you investigate, not proof that every unfamiliar location represents an intruder. Two-step verification status is shown alongside the other protections, and this update does not require changing how you sign in.
