Cancelling

How to stop your subscription, what happens to your data, and what stops being billed the moment you do.

How

Cancelling a subscription

  1. Open billing in your dashboard
  2. Cancel the subscriptionTake effect depends on your billing period - check what the portal tells you.
  3. Numbers and add-ons are released automaticallyAny phone numbers and active add-ons on the account are released and cancelled the moment your subscription ends, so nothing keeps being charged after you have gone. Want to stop paying for a number sooner, without cancelling everything? Release it any time from Owned Numbers.
  4. Revoke API keysIf you have integrations, revoke keys you no longer need. See API authentication.
  5. Save anything you needExport or note anything you want outside SIMCOAI.
Forgotten

The thing people miss

Careful. Calls stop reaching you. If your public number forwards to SIMCOAI, cancelling means those calls stop being answered - and because the number is released as part of cancelling, you cannot simply reassign it back later. Point your public number somewhere else first if you need to keep answering calls.

Released numbers cannot be reclaimed. Releasing a number back to the phone network is one-way. If you rejoin later you will need to claim a new one; your workspace, bookings, settings and history are still exactly where you left them.
Data

What happens to your workspace

Your workspace is retained for two years after cancellation so you can return without rebuilding, subject to applicable law and your data deletion rights.
